The WEST COAST ROOFING CONTRACTORS' ASSOCIATION is a professional trade organization comprised of licensed roofing contractors and related associate members dedicated to representing the interests of the roofing industry in the Greater Tampa Bay area since 1976.

Mission

The mission of WCRCA is:

  • To provide the roofing community with an organization that will foster and encourage a higher standard of business ethics amongst its members
  • To inform the general public of the importance of doing business with competent, ethical and licensed firms
  • To maintain an information center to provide assistance to potential customers, members and the media
  • To develop and maintain a working relationship with local regulatory and governmental agencies
  • To promote awareness of codes, licensing, pertinent legislation and compliance
  • To improve the quality of workmanship and business conduct in our industry through education

WCRCA's Board of Directors and Committees are involved in all aspects of the roofing industry to insure the best possible information and activities for its members. Some of these activities are:

Membership Requirements

  • Must be a licensed roofing contractor in Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, or Pasco Counties for a minimum of one year
  • Must have maintained and operated an established roofing business in Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, or Pasco Counties for at least one year
  • Must practice the ethical standards of the WCRCA
  • Associate memberships - Persons, firms or corporations engaged in the manufacturing, sales or distribution of roofing industry products, supplies and/or services or business services

Goals & Projects

WCRCA is involved in many community projects, social activities and fundraisers that offer visibility in the community, networking and sharing ideas, educational benefits and social functions for members and their families. Some of these are:

  • Annual Charity Roofing Project
  • Two Annual Golf Tournaments
  • Annual Bass Fishing Tournament
  • Annual Casino Night Christmas Party
  • Byron Curry Award - presented annually to a member who has dedicated himself to the industry and to the association and has demonstrated the goals & missions of the WCRCA on a continuing basis
  • Asbestos Certification Training Workshop
  • Technical Training Seminars
  • Many Educational Programs
  • Liaison to the local Building Bureaus offering input to code enforcement
  • Liaison to the media regarding consumer issues
  • Continuing Education Credit Courses (pending CILB approval)
